Rosatom as a business partner in the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia.”

April 14, 2025
The exhibition will present a booth from Rosatom, which will highlight the company's leadership expertise in the field of nuclear energy and its comprehensive solutions for electromobility. The booth of Rosatom will demonstrate an SMR-based NPP mockup with an integral layout based on the advanced RITM-200N reactor unit. This is the technology that Uzbekistan has chosen for its first nuclear power plant. The first ever export contract for the construction of an SMR-based NPP was signed between Uzbekistan and Russia during Vladimir Putin's state visit to the republic in May 2024. The first SMR-based NPP in Uzbekistan will be constructed in Jizzakh region. It will have a total capacity of 330 megawatts: six reactors, each with a capacity of 55 megawatts. The project is based on the RITM-200N reactor, which is the advanced low-power propulsion RIMT200 modified for land-based use. The reactors of the RITM series have undergone rigorous testing aboard the latest Russian icebreakers in the challenging Arctic environment and meet all post-Fukushima safety requirements for the modern NPP design. The design chosen by Uzbekistan is unique: an SMR-based NPP with an integral layout which means that the core and steam generator are housed in a single structure.

Electromobility is a crucial track of Rosatom’s new businesses which includes the entire cycle of e-vehicle production from lithium mining to traction battery disposal. The main attraction of the booth will be an e-vehicle mockup. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore various components of an electric car as well as other advanced technologies for creating a comfortable urban environment in the countries that focus on innovative development.
