UEC Presents Advanced Industrial Engines at INNOPROM. Central Asia Exhibition

April 28, 2025
The United Engine Corporation (UEC) of Rostec State Corporation is presenting modern solutions for the modernization of compressor stations of the gas transmission system of Uzbekistan at the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia. For the first time, a full-size industrial gas turbine engine NK-14ST with a capacity of 8.5 MW is being demonstrated.

The UEC's exposition at the joint stand of Rostec State Corporation presents advanced developments for the transportation of gas through main gas pipelines.

"Uzbekistan is among the top five CIS countries in gas production. Therefore, we offer our partners a line of the latest units of various capacities for gas transmission systems. This is efficient and environmentally friendly equipment that has proven itself at the facilities of domestic gas producing companies. I am sure that our proposals will be interesting and useful to foreign partners," said Dmitry Lelikov, Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation.

The NK-14ST industrial gas turbine engine, manufactured by the Samara enterprise UEC-Kuznetsov, is used as a drive for gas pumping units. Thanks to its high power and improved performance characteristics, it is successfully used in projects to modernize gas transmission systems to improve reliability and performance. More than 160 engines are currently in operation. Their total operating time exceeds 5.3 million hours. The supply, maintenance, and repair of NK-14ST engines are provided by UEC Engineering.

"We value the long-term experience of cooperation with Uzbek partners and are ready to expand our interaction. For the first time, an industrial gas turbine engine NK-14ST with a capacity of 8.5 MW will be presented at the exhibition. In the face of constantly growing demand for energy resources, the NK-14ST engine is able to increase the capacity of compressor stations and ensure an increase in gas supply volumes in Uzbekistan. Other developments presented at the INNOPROM. Central Asia exhibition can also become the basis for new joint projects in the Central Asian region," said Andrey Vorobyov, General Director of UEC Engineering LLC.

UEC is also demonstrating the UGPA-16(25) block-modular gas pumping unit. Thanks to modern design solutions, it reduces the costs of designing and building gas transmission infrastructure facilities, as well as ensures the interchangeability of components and systems. It can use various types of gas turbine engines of the PS, AL, and NK series with a capacity of 16 MW and 25 MW. At the same time, regardless of the installed drive, the design of the unit remains unchanged.

AL-31ST gas turbine engines with a capacity of 16 MW developed and manufactured by UEC-UMPO can be used as a power drive in the UGPA-16. The AL-31ST industrial engine is one of the most popular on the gas turbine drive market. It is characterized by high efficiency. The AL-31ST drive has undergone a number of modifications, during which its reliability and environmental friendliness were improved, and resource indicators were increased.

The INNOPROM. Central Asia exhibition is being held in Tashkent from April 28 to 30, 2025. The organizers are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
