VisionLabshas implemented face-based payment technology in Tashkent's metro

The Russiancompany VisionLabs, specializing in computer vision technologies, has implemented its own face recognition algorithm in the biometric fare paymentsystem in Tashkent's metro. This was announced by the company's CEO Dmitry Markov. The project was implemented jointly with the Uzbek fintech companyClick and the Automated Payment System Operator (ATTO).
Accordingto the head of VisionLabs, the technology currently covers about 75% of the stations in the Tashkent Metro, and it is planned to expand the coverage to100% in the near future. The system is similar to the Moscow-based FacePay, which was also developed by VisionLabs and launched in the Russian capital in2021.
In April2025, VisionLabs participated in the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia in Tashkent, where it presented its solutions in thefields of biometrics and artificial intelligence. The company has become part of the Russian.
