The head of the Chuvash Republic, Oleg Nikolaev, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation, Botirjon Asadov. During the discussion, both parties confirmed that a delegation led by the regional head will take part in the INNOPROM. Central Asia International Industrial Trade Fair, which will be held in Tashkent from April 28 to 30.
“Our mutual cooperation has been expanding rapidly over the past few years. This includes joint business projects, participation in various cultural events, and an active exchange of official visits. Our established ties remain strong, and we are seeing steady growth in certain areas, particularly agriculture,” said the head of the Chuvash Republic.
As part of the exhibition, agreements are set to be signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic and the Khokimiyat of Uzbekistan’s Bukhara Region regarding cooperation in trade, economics, social development, and cultural-humanitarian exchanges. Additionally, a business mission to Kashkadarya Region will be organized, featuring visits to local enterprises and the signing of an action plan to implement an Agreement on Establishing Friendly Relations between the city of Novocheboksarsk (Russia) and the city of Qarshi (Uzbekistan) for 2025–2026.
Oleg Nikolaev also emphasized Uzbekistan’s significant role as an exporting country, while Botirjon Asadov confirmed that “economic indicators look very optimistic.” Both sides pointed out successful cooperation in industry, agriculture, IT, healthcare, education, and culture.
