In April 2024, as part of the Trade Fair 'INNOPROM: Central Asia,' an official delegation from the Tambov region visited the Republic of Uzbekistan. Delegation leader Maxim Egorov highlighted that the Tambov region is actively developing new export markets in African countries while maintaining key trade partnerships with China, Belarus, Qazaqstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Brazil, and Iran.
Back in 2022, the region had not supplied goods to Asia, Africa, Brazil, or Uzbekistan. However, driven by the need to reorient its exports, Tambov’s leadership established several agreements. During 'INNOPROM: Central Asia' in 2024, a notable event was the opening of a branch of the Tambov trading house. “We offered our partners agricultural products, including grain and leguminous crops, as well as products from the food and processing sectors. This effort enabled us to forge connections with several Uzbek companies and development institutions,” shared the head of the Tambov region.
