One Month Until ‘INNOPROM. Central Asia’: Key Events of the Business Program and Cutting-Edge Technologies at the Trade Fair

March 28, 2025
Exactly one month remains until the opening of the 5th International Industrial Trade Fair ‘INNOPROM. Central Asia,’ which is set to take place in Uzbekistan. The event is expected to become a focal point for companies across various industrial sectors for the fifth time, including energy and metallurgy, industrial automation and IT, as well as pharmaceutical and medical industries.

One of the central elements of the International Industrial Trade Fair is its business program, designed to address current market needs and featuring a wide range of events focused on industrial cooperation and innovation. The program brings together leading experts, business representatives, and government officials to discuss key trends, share expertise, and explore new partnership opportunities. Spanning multiple industries, it aims to drive economic growth.

The highlight of the Trade Fair's program will be the Main Plenary Session: ‘Strategic Industrial Partnership in Central Asia: Regional Integration Based on Advanced Technologies.’ Featuring Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the session will provide attendees with expert insights into how interstate agreements translate into practical outcomes, what achievements are ready to be showcased at this time, and what barriers still require resolution. The participation of senior government officials and major business leaders ensures a balanced discussion on industrial cooperation in one of the world’s most promising areas.

"We see significant potential in deepening industrial cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as other countries in the region, and 'INNOPROM. Central Asia' serves as an excellent platform to harness this potential in practice. At the Trade Fair, our companies present a wide range of modern, competitive solutions across various economic sectors. The event is being held in Tashkent for the fifth time and has gained international stature over the years: in 2024, it was attended by representatives from several thousand companies from Russia, Uzbekistan, Qazaqstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Türkye, and China. Moreover, Tashkent's 'INNOPROM' has become a sought-after venue for working meetings and negotiations among leaders of specialized agencies from Russia and foreign states," emphasized Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

A pivotal event for interregional cooperation will be the B2R[IV1.1] session ‘Industrial Business Alliance of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan: Initiatives by Business, for Business,’ supported by the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR). Here, regional leaders from both countries and heads of technology businesses will directly exchange mutually beneficial initiatives. Regions will present their industrial needs and localization and cooperation terms, while businesses will showcase their best projects for regional implementation.

‘INNOPROM. Central Asia’ annually unites leaders from diverse industrial sectors—from metallurgy to IT and energy. It is exactly through this event that many participants have gained strong momentum for growth: boosting exports, securing lucrative contracts, and expanding production capabilities.

"The now-traditional 'INNOPROM. Central Asia' Trade Fair attracts growing participation each year while expanding cooperation horizons. We take pride in serving as a bridge for investments into Central Asia. The event enables connections between our nations' business communities and fosters productive dialogue. This year, we see particular potential for collaboration in priority areas, including: deepening industrial cooperation, expanding joint financing mechanisms, and enhancing agricultural partnerships," emphasized Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A key incentive for companies to participate is the opportunity to showcase innovative solutions that demonstrate competitive advantages to potential partners. Technological specifications and product quality levels remain crucial for building end-user trust, regardless of localization levels or applications.

The International Industrial Trade Fair ‘INNOPROM. Central Asia’ also features companies specializing in customized engineering and manufacturing. One such firm plans to present a unique gas turbine engine designed for gas pumping units (GPAs) used in main pipeline compressors.

Many exhibitors tailoring their innovations to government and business stakeholders focus on addressing everyday civilian needs. A leading Russian full-cycle road meteorology enterprise will display a prototype automated roadside weather station capable of providing real-time data on air/road surface temperatures, humidity, precipitation, wind, and other critical parameters—information vital for road and traffic safety and efficient road infrastructure management.

Process automation plays a pivotal role in boosting agricultural productivity. The ‘Bee’ (or ‘Pchela’) agrodrone, currently in development, is designed for grain crop treatment and seeding. Its deployment will not only accelerate workflows but also enable operations in nearly all weather conditions.

These and numerous other technological solutions showcased at the International Industrial Trade Fair underscore mutual interest in expanding partnerships and jointly implementing high-potential projects to drive regional economic growth and development. ‘INNOPROM. Central Asia’ has solidified its status as a key platform for advancing Russian industry and facilitating regional integration.
